Winter has officially arrived here in the Inland Northwest. I don’t know about the rest of you, but I was secretly hoping that it had forgotten us this year. I hope that everyone is safely negotiating the streets and sidewalks of the greater Spokane area.
We had a wonderful showing for our first program in 2012 with a new speaker to INSHRM, Mary Drobka with Davis Wright Tremaine, LLP. Mary presented some great information on managing the Interactive Reasonable Accommodation Process. I’m sure all of those that attended, me included, went back to their offices and took a hard look at their employee handbooks.
February’s luncheon program will feature a favorite returning speaker, Jason Swain from Jason Swain & Associates. For those of you that attended the Spring 2011 seminar you will remember Jason as the speaker that presented information on Commitment Based Management. For February, Jason will address the topic of “Managing Transition, Dealing with the Human Side of Change”. Please be sure to join us on Valentine’s Day, February 14th at the Red Lion at the River.
