INSHRM Scholarships

INSHRM Reimbursement Scholarships will be accepted throughout the year.  The intent of INSHRM Reimbursement Scholarships are to reimburse members for personal costs when participating in Human Resource related activities.  (Note:  Student Scholarships are treated separately from Reimbursement Scholarships.)  INSHRM will not provide a scholarship if a member’s company paid for or reimbursed a member for their activity(s).  Related Human Resource activities could include: purchasing a Human Resource book; fees for attending a seminar or training; purchasing study materials to prepare for PHR, SPHR, GPHR, CPLP certifications and etc.; certification/exam fees; and etc.  Note:  The Reimbursement Scholarship(s) are based on actual fees incurred.  INSHRM will not consider scholarship requests without proof of payment (except for student scholarships).

 

APPLICANTS WILL BE GIVEN PRIORITY BY THE CRITERIA LISTED BELOW:

1) Current INSHRM member or Student member in good standing for one year from date of application approval.

2) Attend at least half of scheduled monthly INSHRM meetings.  Students need to attend student chapter meetings.

3) Participate in INSHRM chapter activities.

 

APPLICATION PROCESSING, TIMELINE and DUE DATE:

2) Incomplete or unsigned applications will not be accepted.

3) An original receipt (or proof) showing personal payment for the requested scholarship must be attached to the application. (Except for student scholarships)

4) Completed applications may be submitted to the INSHRM Board at any time throughout the calendar year through September 30th.  All complete applications will be reviewed at the November INSHRM Board meeting for approval. 

5) The INSHRM President or designee will contact all individuals with the results of their scholarship request.

6) INSHRM reserves the right to verify personal payment, deny a scholarship, or approve any dollar amount up to the requested dollar amount.
