INSHRM February Luncheon Meeting 2012 (11:00 AM - 1:30 PM)

Monthly INSHRM Luncheon
Speaker:  Jason Swain

Anymore, it seems uncertainty is the only thing to be sure of.  We are all dealing with an unprecedented amount of change in our personal and professional lives - and the trend will only continue.  Understanding change from a personal perspective builds a foundation for managing change in broader contexts.  This workshop is aimed at helping participants understand how change occurs for individuals and for organizations, identify attitudes and skills needed to manage change in a positive way and develop strategies for dealing with change in our personal and professional lives.

3 specific learning objectives:

  • Understand the difference between “change” and “transition”
  • Learn the three phases of transition – endings, neutral zone and new beginnings
  • Create strategies to help you effectively manage transitions in your own life as well as to lead others through transitions

Jason Swain & Associates, LLC can help your organization gain and sustain competitive advantage.  They can help the people in your organization work collaboratively and effectively together toward clearly defined results more quickly and efficiently than your competition.  Jason Swain brings over 13 years of professional experience in organization development, training, executive & corporate coaching.

Jason's clients have included American Express, American Red Cross, City of Spokane, Clearwater Paper, Desautel Hege Communications, Ford Motor Company, Gonzaga University, Iams Pet Foods, Inland Imaging, Jubilant Hollister-Stier, Kootenai Health, Leadership Spokane, LensCrafters, Moss Adams, LLP, Northern Quest Casino, Northwest Farm Credit Services, Procter and Gamble, Samuel Adams Brewery, Seattle University, Spokane Neighborhood Action Program (SNAP), United States Air Force and many others.
