The August sun is shining and it's time again for Meet the Employers!, a monthly hiring event brought to you by the Diversity Recruitment Committee (DRC). We'll meet Wednesday, August 17, 2011, 2:30- 4:30pm at WorkSource (130 S. Arthur). The first 30 minutes will be a networking time for employers; at 3pm we'll begin the employer presentations & general meeting.
If you've got positions to fill (or not), you're welcomed to attend to share your HR expertise with job seekers, give your company some free PR and network with fellow employers. Feel free to forward our meeting announcement to anyone you feel may be interested in attending. If you plan to attend, try to wear something with your company's logo, etc. so it will be easier for job seekers to know who is who and from where!
For those of you not familiar with the DRC, we are a dedicated group of professionals who share a commitment to diversity within our organizations and our community. Our mission is to bring together public & private sector employers with representatives from community-based organizations and persons actively seeking employment to aid in recruitment and hiring. Our goal is to build bridges between job seekers and local employers for the benefit of all. The DRC invites all employers and job seekers to join us in our community outreach and recruiting efforts!
