This presentation will focus on a current hot topic in the workplace: bullying. Whether stemming from an individual or "mobbing" by a group of employees, workplace bullying is wreaking havoc in many workplaces. By being able to identify, address, understand, and prevent workplace bullying, human resources professionals can ensure that their organization's employees are treated more fairly and respectfully.

This presentation will address

  • What exactly is workplace bullying?
  • How is workplace bullying different from harassment, discrimination, and retaliation?
  • What are the demographics and statistics regarding workplace bullying?
  • What causes workplace bullying?
  • How does workplace bullying impact the workplace?
  • Is it legal and, if it is, should it be?
  • How can you prevent workplace bullying?
